Work has begun in Kyiv to renovate the memorial to the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred
Preparatory work has begun in the capital to create a renovated memorial space on the Alley of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred. The site is located near the Chapel of Archangel Michael and the Martyrs of Novoukrainka.
According to the design plan, the renovated space is intended to serve as a fitting place to honor the memory of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred.
Currently, the construction site is being set up and prepared. As part of the first phase, specialists from the Pechersk District Public Utility Company pruned hazardous trees. A new electrical grid was also installed to ensure the memorial’s operation. Other technical and preparatory measures are still underway to ensure the construction proceeds safely.
“According to the developed design, this space will become a more fitting place to honor the memory of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred. At the same time, its authentic memorial elements will be fully preserved, and law enforcement will be able to complete all necessary investigative actions,” the Museum emphasized.
The National Museum of the Revolution of Dignity announced the start of the work.
As a reminder, a memorial stele bearing the names of the victims will be installed on the Alley of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred.
In Lviv, a memorial stele will be unveiled to mark the second anniversary of the death of linguist, civic activist, and political figure Iryna Farion. It will be located on Tomáš Masaryk Street—at the spot where Farion was fatally wounded.
On October 9, a new stele was unveiled in Bayeux, France, as part of the Bayeux 2025 Journalists’ Memorial, bearing the names of 73 journalists who died while performing their professional dutiesbetween June 1, 2024, and June 1, 2025. Among the victims is Ukrainian journalist Viktoria Roshchina.
