A fraudster who swindled $30,000 from a volunteer will stand trial in Kyiv
A 35-year-old man will stand trial in the capital on charges of fraud involving $30,000 under the pretext of selling drones to the Ukrainian military.
According to the investigation, late last year, the suspect introduced himself to a volunteer as a reliable supplier and offered a batch of Mavic 3T quadcopters at a price below market value. After receiving the money, the man stopped responding, and the promised drones were never delivered.
Law enforcement officers located the suspect and gathered the necessary evidence. The indictment has already been submitted to the court.
The defendant faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
