The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center has issued a storm warning for most regions of Ukraine
The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center has issued a Level 1 hazard warning for several regions of Ukraine due to a rapid deterioration in weather conditions.
Forecasters predict a series of dangerous meteorological phenomena that will affect a significant portion of the country in the near future.
Citizens are urged to exercise extreme caution while outdoors.
The severe weather will begin in the western and northern regions of Ukraine, where thunderstorms are forecast for the coming hour and are expected to continue through the end of the day on June 22. The situation will worsen significantly the following day, when the atmospheric front spreads to new regions.
By the afternoon of June 23, the severe weather will cover a much larger area—thunderstorms are expected in the southern part of the country and in most western and central regions.
Experts identify three main hazardous phenomena that will accompany the movement of the thunderstorm front.
Experts warn of the possibility of severe thunderstorms, hail in some areas, and powerful gusts of wind reaching speeds of 15–20 m/s.
