A couple suspected of distributing child pornography and committing sexual assault has been arrested in Kyiv
In Kyiv, law enforcement officials have apprehended a woman and her partner, who are suspected of possessing and distributing pornographic material, including material involving children.
This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to the investigation, the 46-year-old woman and the 51-year-old man distributed pornographic photos and videos online. Among the materials seized were images of the woman’s daughter, who is now of legal age.
Separately, the man has been notified of suspicion of raping this girl when she was a minor. According to her, the sexual abuse occurred systematically starting at age 12—during a period when her mother was abroad working.
During the search, law enforcement officers seized computer equipment, storage devices, as well as pornographic photos and videos.
Currently, other potential victims are being identified, and the suspects’ involvement in coercing children into creating such content is being investigated.
The suspects were detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The court imposed a preventive measure of pretrial detention with an alternative bail of 800,000 hryvnias.
The suspects are charged with the possession and distribution of pornographic materials, including child pornography, and the man is also charged with the rape of a minor.
The suspects’ 13-year-old son has been placed in the care of his grandmother.
Earlier in Poland, law enforcement detained a 57-year-old man suspected of distributing pornography involving children and animals.
