Power outages are expected in several regions on March 31 — Ukrenergo

The situation in Ukraine’s power grid remains tense due to renewed attacks by Russian forces on critical infrastructure facilities.

This is reported by Ukrenergo.

As of the morning of March 31, 2026, new damage to the power grid has been recorded, leading to power outages in several regions of the country.

The most difficult situation is observed in frontline and border areas.

In particular, new power outages caused by shelling have been reported in the Kharkiv, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Poltava regions. Power utility workers have already begun emergency repair work where the security situation permits.

Ukrenergo reports that specialists are working around the clock to restore power to consumers as quickly as possible.

“Where safety conditions permit, power engineers are already working to restore supply,” the agency notes, emphasizing the difficulty of repairs amid constant threats of renewed attacks.

Electricity consumption this morning rose by 2.7% compared to the same period on Monday.

The main factor affecting the grid load was unfavorable weather: overcast skies and rain across nearly all of Ukraine significantly reduced the efficiency of residential solar power plants.

Due to the lack of sufficient sunlight, private households that typically generate their own power are forced to draw energy from the general grid.

This puts additional pressure on the damaged infrastructure, which is already operating at its limits due to systematic enemy attacks.

Russia has attacked energy facilities in six regions of Ukraine.

No power rationing is planned in Ukraine on Tuesday, March 31.
