In Lviv, a suspect in the murder of a military personnel member was taken into custody without bail

The Lychakiv District Court of Lviv has ordered pretrial detention without the possibility of bail for the suspect in the murder of a 52-year-old TSK serviceman.

The suspect is Lviv customs officer Andriy Trush. He faces up to 15 years in prison or life imprisonment.

The prosecutor insisted on arrest, citing the risks of flight, influencing witnesses, and obstructing the investigation.

The suspect himself stated that he does not remember the circumstances of the incident and objected to being held in custody, emphasizing that he had voluntarily turned himself in to the police.

His attorney asked the court to impose a less severe preventive measure, specifically house arrest, but the court rejected these arguments.

Ultimately, the court ruled to detain him without bail.

An employee of the Territorial Recruitment and Support Center was tragically killed in Lviv. The incident occurred during mobilization activities on Paton and Vyhovsky Streets.

The National Police clarified that prior to the attack, TCS personnel had not detained the assailant—he approached the serviceman on his own and stabbed him in the neck.
