A shooting occurred in an apartment in a high-rise building in Lviv. Law enforcement officers quickly arrived at the scene. Police detained a man suspected of firing the shots. The circumstances of the incident are currently under investigation.

This information was confirmed to Suspilne by National Police spokesperson Yulia Girdvilis.

"There was a report of a shooting in an apartment of a high-rise building in one of the districts. A team of special police officers arrived. They detained the man who fired shots inside the apartment. There were no casualties as a result. An investigative team is currently working at the scene to determine the legal classification of the incident and the man’s motives for his actions,” the spokesperson said.

The man fired a Flobert-type revolver and was intoxicated. Investigative activities are currently underway at the scene.
