In Mykolaiv, a man threw a grenade in the courtyard of a house: a woman was injured
In Mykolaiv, law enforcement officers detained a 33-year-old man who threw a grenade into the courtyard of a high-rise building during a dispute.
This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Police.
The incident occurred on the evening of March 21 on 1st Slobidska Street. A neighbor was injured in the explosion—she was hospitalized and is currently receiving outpatient treatment.
According to the investigation, an argument broke out between the man and his partner. A neighbor intervened in the conflict, complaining about the noise. The women then managed to lead the man into the courtyard, where he threw the explosive and fled.
Fragments of the grenade were recovered at the scene and sent for forensic analysis.
The suspect was detained. He faces up to seven years in prison.
Earlier, in the town of Storozhynets, Chernivtsi region, a man was detained who threw a live grenade at police officers.
As a reminder, on the night of February 13, an explosion occurred on the grounds of a private residence in the town of Vynogradiv, Zakarpattia Oblast, where the family of a member of the local police’s operational unit resides.
