The Pension Fund of Ukraine explained who will automatically receive payments by Independence Day
Some Ukrainians will automatically receive a one-time cash payment by Independence Day 2026, without having to submit additional applications.
Payments will be automatically credited in August to pensioners, as well as to recipients of housing subsidies and benefits for housing and utility services who are not currently serving in the military.
For war veterans currently serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine or other military units, the assistance will be distributed through their military units along with their pay.
At the same time, citizens who are eligible for the payment but are not pensioners, do not receive subsidies or benefits, and are not serving in the military must submit an application to the Pension Fund.
Applications can be submitted in person at a Pension Fund service center or a Center for Administrative Services, by mail, or online via the e-services web portal.
If a person was eligible for the payment as of August 24 but did not receive the funds by October 1, they may additionally contact the Pension Fund and apply for the payment by November 1.
