The Rada has released the number of conscripts who have not updated their information
About 1.5 million men of draft age in Ukraine are breaking the law by failing to update their military registration records over the past four years.
This was reported by MP Mykhailo Tsymbaliuk in a comment to Novyny.Live on April 5, 2026. According to the politician, it is precisely the failure to fulfill the obligation to report to territorial recruitment centers that is the cause of most conflicts and street detentions during martial law.
The MP emphasized the need to reform the system to remove TCC representatives from the streets, as under current legislation, only police officers are authorized to check documents. Tsymbaliuk also debunked myths about the composition of the recruitment centers, noting that nearly 70% of their staff consists of veterans who, due to health conditions, can no longer perform combat duty. Despite this, mobilization rates have not reached the desired levels, which the MP attributes to veterans’ heightened sense of justice and legal conflicts arising during the delivery of draft notices.
The situation regarding data updates remains critical amid constant Russian attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure and logistics. Mykhailo Tsymbaliuk urged those subject to military service to fulfill their duty on par with other citizens to avoid unlawful detention and legal consequences. Currently, the government is discussing additional mechanisms to encourage the public to verify their data at the TCC via digital services and to strengthen the role of the police in mobilization efforts.
As a reminder, a brazen attack on military personnel from the mobilization group occurred in Vinnytsia. A man stabbed two TCC representatives.
On March 31, an incident occurred between civilians and military personnel of the mobilization group in the village of Sosonka, Vinnytsia Oblast.
Earlier, the Odesa Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support launched an internal investigation into the use of a weapon by a servicemember.
