Representatives of a charitable foundation were summoned to the Rada regarding Fedorov's reservation
The Parliamentary Temporary Investigative Commission on Violations in the Fields of Defense and Anti-Corruption Legislation has summoned representatives of the charitable organization “Eastern Europe Foundation” to a hearing. The reason for this is the exemption from mobilization granted to former Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov through this organization.
According to the commission’s chair, People’s Deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko, the commission received a response from the Kyiv City Territorial Recruitment Center stating that Fedorov had been exempted on July 18, 2026, through the charity “Eastern Europe Foundation.” Goncharenko is concerned that Fedorov does not mention this foundation on social media but instead talks about the plans of “his team.”
Representatives of the foundation are expected to attend the meeting on September 4, where the commission intends to determine whether Fedorov’s registration is genuine, whether he is performing his duties, showing up for work, and has
all the necessary documentation proving that he ACTUALLY requires this registration. Meanwhile, Mykhailo Fedorov himself was summoned to the hearing on August 31, but did not appear and provided no explanation for his absence.
The TSK noted that it views the former official’s failure to appear as a sign of disrespect toward Parliament.
