An official was caught taking a bribe in the Unmanned Systems Forces

The Internal Security Division of the Unmanned Systems Forces has exposed an official who demanded a $2,000 bribe in exchange for helping a service member secure employment within the SBS. The investigation is currently ongoing.

“The Internal Security Division of the Unmanned Systems Forces has caught an official from the Unmanned Systems Forces Group red-handed accepting a $2,000 bribe to help a service member secure a position within the Unmanned Systems Forces. The case materials and evidence have been transferred to the State Bureau of Investigations,” the commander stated.

According to Brovdi, the SBS Group is rapidly expanding under pressure from the urgent needs of the front, bringing together units that vary greatly in purpose and effectiveness, which have been operating as a unified system for 13 months. At the same time, he noted, there are also unscrupulous servicemen among the fighters.

“A community of motivated, united, and determined people is not without its freeloaders, malingerers, and schemers. There are also drug addicts, slackers, and chronic drunkards—we identify them, educate them, rehabilitate them, and treat them with work therapy. Unfortunately, there are also attempts by traitors, informants, and enemy agents to infiltrate our ranks,” said the SBS commander.

Brovdi emphasized that there is zero tolerance for abuse, corruption, violence, and bribery within the unit, and that the SBS Internal Security Directorate conducts hundreds of inspections every month.

Brovdi called on military personnel and anyone else willing to do so to report possible violations within the ranks of the SBS directly to him, specifically regarding:

  • ghost soldiers or the deployment of fighters to non-military tasks in the interests of third parties;
  • violence within units;
  • extortion or unlawful financial manipulation of payments;
  • offers of kickbacks during procurement from drone manufacturers;
  • the sale of military property, including drones and ammunition;
  • offers of employment or promotions in exchange for payment;
  • sexual harassment, bullying, and other gender-based violations.

The commander also warned that criminals are sending out fake contact information purportedly on his behalf, and urged people to contact only the official work email address listed in his message.
