Rain is expected in western and northern regions of Ukraine on April 16
On Thursday, April 16, a high-pressure system will dominate the weather in most regions, though western and northern areas will be affected by an atmospheric front. This will result in light rain in those parts of the country, while no precipitation is expected elsewhere.
This is reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.

Nighttime temperatures will range from 3 to 8°C. During the day, temperatures will rise to 14–19°C, ensuring relatively warm weather despite cloud cover. Winds will be predominantly from the southwest at 5–10 m/s.
In Kyiv and the surrounding region, variable cloudiness is forecast for tomorrow, with a chance of light rain during the day. In the capital, nighttime temperatures will range from 6–8°C, and during the day, temperatures will rise to 16–18°C.
The power supply situation in cities, particularly following the accident in Chernihiv on April 14, remains stable, and moderate temperatures are contributing to efficient resource consumption. Meanwhile, in April 2026, the Russian economy officially entered a systemic recession, which continues to influence the overall geopolitical context of the region.
Forecasters note that spring weather remains unstable due to the activity of atmospheric fronts. Citizens are advised to take the forecast into account when planning trips, especially in regions where precipitation is expected. The coming days of the week may also bring changes in weather conditions due to the movement of air masses.
During the week of April 13–19, temperatures in Ukraine will rise significantly starting on Tuesday. Rain is expected in some areas at the beginning of the week.
Forecasters have also warned of frosts in Ukraine on April 12 and 13.
