A new training course titled “Official Investigation” has been launched on the “Army+” app

A new training course titled “Official Investigation” is now available on the “Army+” app. It will help service members better understand how official investigations are conducted, what rights the participants in this process have, and how to properly prepare all the necessary documents.

The Ministry of Defense announced that a new educational course titled “Official Investigation” has been launched in the “Army+” app. It was created to help military personnel better understand the procedures for conducting service investigations and act with confidence in such situations. The course explains when a service investigation is initiated, who conducts it, and what its objectives are. It also provides detailed guidance on how to properly establish the circumstances of an incident, what documents need to be prepared, and how to avoid common mistakes.

Special attention is given to the rights of service members during a service investigation. The authors explain what a service member is entitled to do, how the procedure itself unfolds, and what timeframes are set for its conduct.

The training program consists of eight lessons. They cover the entire process—from the reasons for ordering a service investigation to documenting its results. During the training, service members will learn:

  • in which cases a service investigation is mandatory;
  • how to define the scope of the investigation and establish all relevant facts;
  • what timeframes are stipulated by law;
  • what rights a service member has during the investigation;
  • when financial liability may arise for damaged or lost property;
  • how to properly document the results and maintain the necessary records.

A separate section also explains how an administrative review differs from an administrative investigation. The authors describe its characteristics, objectives, and the circumstances under which this specific procedure is applied.

The Ministry of Defense noted that the course was created at the initiative of the Main Directorate of the Military Law Enforcement Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The non-governmental organization “Magura” served as a partner in the project. Currently, 28 courses are already available in the “Training” section of the “Army+” app. They help military personnel improve their qualifications, gain new knowledge, and perform their duties more effectively. The ministry also noted that the “Training” feature for the app is developed and maintained by the Center for Scaling Technological Solutions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense.
