Law enforcement officials have identified the individuals who participated in the attack on military personnel during clashes in the Sykhiv district of Lviv. Some of them have already been detained, and investigators are continuing to identify everyone involved in the incident.

 

This was reported by Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration. According to him, after conducting initial investigative measures, law enforcement officers were able to identify those involved in the conflict. “Those involved in the attack on military personnel in Sykhiv have been identified. Several of them have already been detained. I thank law enforcement for their prompt response,” Kozytskyi wrote.

The head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration emphasized that the investigation is ongoing and law enforcement officials are continuing to work to establish all the circumstances of the incident. “Anyone whose actions violated the law will face appropriate legal consequences,” he stressed.

At this time, law enforcement officials have not disclosed exactly how many people have been detained or what charges may be brought against those involved in the case. Other details of the investigation have also not been disclosed. As a reminder, the clashes took place on July 9 in the Sykhiv district of Lviv. During the conflict, a group of people attacked servicemen from the territorial recruitment center.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to the incident. He called the attack on the servicemen “a very bad situation” and stated that such treatment of people in military uniform is unacceptable. According to the president, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko has already briefed him on the circumstances of the incident. Zelenskyy noted that the Ministry of Internal Affairs must conduct a full investigation in accordance with the law, while the Ministry of Defense must take all the steps it previously promised to improve the operation of the Territorial Recruitment Center system.

Law enforcement officials continue to identify all participants in the clashes. If their involvement in the attack is proven, they will be held accountable in accordance with current legislation. This was reported by Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
