Ukraine and Bulgaria plan to launch a rail service soon

Ukraine and Bulgaria are working to launch a passenger rail service through Romania.

This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba.

According to him, a test run of the route could take place as early as this summer in a trilateral format.

The parties also discussed the development of transport corridors, the Danube cluster, and road infrastructure.

Special attention was paid to digital solutions, particularly electronic queuing at the border.

In addition, they discussed cooperation in the field of maritime safety in the Black Sea.

Ukraine expects to sign an intergovernmental agreement on maritime search and rescue as early as this year.

As a reminder, JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” is introducing four additional trains and extending one long-distance route to Yaremche due to increased passenger traffic.
