Ukraine becomes the largest importer of Polish potatoes
Poland reached a record volume of potato exports in 2025, sending over 107,000 tons of produce to foreign markets.

Almost half of this revenue was generated by Ukraine, which became the main buyer.
From January to August, Poland exported 107.54 thousand tons of potatoes.
The largest buyers were:
Ukraine – 57.11 thousand tons
Romania – 11.9 thousand tons
Moldova – 9.92 thousand tons
Belarus – 6.52 thousand tons
Germany – 5.63 thousand tons
Italy – 5.01 thousand tons
Slovakia – 2.78 thousand tons
Latvia – 2.4 thousand tons
Spain – 1.25 thousand tons
United Kingdom – 820 tons
Export revenue during this period totaled 151.99 million złoty (30.4 million euros), significantly exceeding last year’s figures (110.04 million złoty or 22.0 million euros). Almost half of this revenue came from the Ukrainian market — 73.94 million złoty (14.8 million euros).
At the same time, potato imports to Poland exceed exports: in the eight-month period, 171.69 thousand tons were imported at a value of about 55.2 million euros, with Germany as the main supplier.
Separately, Indian company Reliance Industries announced that starting November 20, it will completely stop importing Russian oil in compliance with international sanctions.
