Ukraine and Germany are launching the Brave Germany program to advance defense technologies
Ukraine and Germany are launching a joint program called Brave Germany, aimed at supporting defense startups and developing new military technologies.
This was announced by Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov after signing the relevant document with German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius in Kyiv.
According to Fedorov, Germany is currently Ukraine’s largest partner in terms of security assistance, providing about one-third of all international support in this area.
He thanked Berlin for funding the Patriot and IRIS-T air defense systems and their missiles, as well as for supporting interceptor and strike drones that Ukraine uses to target enemy logistics.
Separately, the minister recalled a major contract previously signed with Germany, under which Ukraine will begin receiving missiles as early as next year.
Additionally, according to Fedorov, Germany has joined in funding the drone assault units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Germany is enhancing Ukraine’s long-range capabilities through joint drone production.
Germany has simplified arms export procedures for Ukraine and the Gulf states.
