A Ukrainian company has unveiled the Adis, a heavy satellite-controlled bomber drone
The Ukrainian company Martyn Tech has unveiled a new heavy bomber drone, the Adis, developed at the request of the military. The drone was named after a soldier from the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Cossacks, with the call sign “Adis,” who was killed in June 2022 in the Donetsk region.
The main feature of the new quadcopter is the ability to control it via satellite communication. This allows it to operate without radio horizon limitations and perform tasks at a significant distance from the operator.
According to the developers, Adis has a combat radius of 20 km with a payload of up to 10 kg, and its flight duration reaches one hour. During testing, the drone was able to deliver a 12-kg payload over a distance of 20 km, as well as fly 50 km with a 3-kg payload.
Thanks to its modular design, the drone can be quickly adapted for various tasks. It is capable of dropping munitions, conducting remote mining, and delivering cargo to military positions.
The drone’s cruising speed is 65 km/h, and its operational flight altitude is up to 400 meters. Adis is also equipped with a dual camera that allows it to detect targets at a distance of up to 600 meters during the day and up to 150 meters at night.
The drone has already completed the certification process. It is scheduled to be added to the Brave1 Market and DOT-Chain Defence platforms in the near future for procurement by military units.
