The Ukrainian company Temerland will test the Gnome evacuation robot system

Ukrainian developers from Temerland are preparing for field tests of the upgraded "Gnom" robotic platform, which has been equipped with a unique mobile manipulator called Smart Shuttle.

This tandem is designed for the safe evacuation of wounded soldiers from under fire and for performing complex engineering tasks in mined areas of the front line.

The compact robot is equipped with a reliable electric drive, allowing it to silently transport loads weighing up to 100 kg.

The system’s remote control range extends up to 5 km, allowing the operator to remain safe while carrying out dangerous missions.

The main innovation is the integration of the base chassis with the autonomous Smart Shuttle robot, which detaches from the main platform.

After delivery to the target, this “one-armed” assistant can independently approach the wounded to secure a stretcher or begin working with explosive objects.

To return the manipulator to the platform, the designers included a powerful 15-meter winch.

This operational scheme significantly minimizes the risk of damage to the expensive main complex during delicate engineering reconnaissance or evacuation operations.

The platform’s communication system is designed for maximum survivability and versatility in the face of enemy electronic warfare (EW) systems.

The developers have integrated Starlink, LTE, LoRa, and ELRS channels, ensuring stable control over the robot even in challenging radio-electronic environments.

In addition to saving lives, “Gnom” paired with Smart Shuttle is planned to be actively deployed for remote demining operations.

The robot is capable of handling unexploded ordnance and safely neutralizing enemy kamikaze UAVs that have crashed but still pose a threat to sappers.
