Ukrainians fear a poor future for their children most of all — survey
It turns out that Ukrainians’ greatest fear during the war is not shelling, but the risk that their children will grow up in poverty.
This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the sociological group “Rating.”
According to the study, 88% of Ukrainians are concerned about potential child poverty, with 74% of them expressing very strong concern.
The top three public concerns also include the quality of education and overall poverty. Eighty-five percent of respondents are concerned about the state of education, and 84% are concerned about the risk of poverty in general.

Sociologists note that Ukrainians’ responses are generally similar to the average figures in EU countries, but the level of concern in Ukraine is significantly higher. Specifically, in EU countries, 40% of respondents are very concerned about the risk of child poverty, while in Ukraine, the figure is 74%.
Ukrainians also react more strongly than Europeans to issues of education quality and population aging, while being less concerned about political divisions and climate change.
The EU must open the first negotiation cluster with Ukraine as soon as possible — Koshta.
Hungary’s future Prime Minister Péter Magyar held talks with representatives of the European Union. The parties discussed the prospects of opening negotiation clusters as part of Ukraine’s EU accession process.
