Ukrenergo has issued a forecast of power outages for today, July 2
On Thursday, July 2, no hourly power outages are expected in any region of Ukraine. According to the National Energy Company “Ukrenergo,” the improvement in the power grid situation and the lifting of restrictions were made possible by a decline in the abnormal heat wave in neighboring countries and an increase in electricity imports.
Previous restrictions had to be imposed due to a sharp increase in demand of at least 25% resulting from the widespread use of air conditioners, as well as scheduled maintenance and repairs to address the damage caused by shelling from Russia.
At the same time, experts are urging citizens to shift the use of high-power appliances to daytime hours from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., when solar power plants operate most efficiently. During the evening peak period from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., consumers are asked to conserve electricity as much as possible, avoid turning on multiple high-power appliances at the same time, and set air conditioners to a temperature no lower than 23–24 degrees. If the situation changes, up-to-date information on possible restrictions can be found on the official websites of local power distribution companies or on the YASNO websites for Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
