Ukrposhta has estimated the damage from the strike on the Kharkiv hub at over ₴11 million
Ukrposhta JSC suffered losses of over 11 million hryvnias as a result of damage to its sorting hub in Kharkiv during a Russian attack. The company will allocate part of the funds to compensate customers for lost shipments.
Of the total losses, over UAH 1 million will be paid to customers for packages destroyed in the attack.
“We are already contacting customers, helping them process claims, and will compensate for all losses within one or two days after a claim is filed,” Smiliansky noted.
Following the damage to the Kharkiv sorting center, the company promptly changed its logistics routes and shifted shipment processing to backup facilities.
Currently, the delivery of parcels, letters, printed publications, medicines, and goods is proceeding as usual.
At the same time, work is ongoing to restore the damaged hub and find optimal solutions for its continued operation.
The head of Ukrposhta emphasized that the company will cover all financial losses related to the damage to the facility and compensation to customers using its own profits.
According to him, this will allow the company to fulfill all obligations to customers and ensure the uninterrupted operation of the postal service even amid military threats.
