Ukrzaliznytsia has changed train routes due to the security situation
Ukrzaliznytsia has temporarily changed the routes and schedules of a number of trains due to the deteriorating security situation in the Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions. Bus transfers have been arranged for passengers on certain sections of the route.
To enable passengers to continue their journeys, the company has organized bus transportation on certain routes.
Specifically, shuttle services will operate on the following routes:
- Kryvyi Rih – Dnipro;
- Pyatikhatky – Dnipro;
- Lozova – Orilka.
Passengers on trains No. 32 Przemyśl–Zaporizhzhia, No. 86 Lviv–Dnipro, No. 286 Lviv – Dnipro, No. 42 Truskavets – Dnipro, and No. 40 Solotvyno – Zaporizhzhia can use the commuter electric trains.
They depart from Dnipro at 4:42 p.m., 5:34 p.m., and 8:20 p.m. and travel to the stations Kamyanske-Passenger, Verkhivtseve, Vilnohirsk, and Verkhnodniprovsk.
Passengers do not need to purchase an additional ticket for the electric train.
Trains experiencing the longest delays heading west will be temporarily halted at the Ternopil and Lviv stations. Passengers will then be transferred to other trains.
The company explained that this approach will help restore train service to the schedule more quickly, but at the same time will affect the schedules of a number of trains.
Specifically, the changes will affect trains on the following routes:
- Dnipro – Truskavets;
- Dnipro – Kovel;
- Dnipro – Mukachevo;
- Dnipro – Lviv;
- Dnipro – Uzhhorod;
- Dnipro – Kholm.
There may also be delays in the turnaround of some return trips.
Ukrzaliznytsia noted that passengers with tickets for trains with changed routes or schedules may use any other train operated by the company without reissuing their ticket until the end of the day on August 8.
Passengers will receive information about specific changes via personalized notifications in the Ukrzaliznytsia app.
The company urged passengers to arrive at train stations early, pay close attention to announcements, and follow safety guidelines.
