The government plans to raise salaries for employees of district state administrations

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine plans to review the organizational structure of district state administrations (DSAs) and increase the base salaries of their employees as part of the process of drafting next year’s state budget.

The government has analyzed the situation regarding the salaries of RDA employees and concluded that the current level of pay is insufficient.

We have analyzed the situation and indeed see that the base salary for employees of district state administrations currently stands at about 8,300 UAH. This level of pay needs to be adjusted,” Svyrydenko emphasized.

The Prime Minister reported that the government has already instructed Oleksiy Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine and Minister of Community and Territorial Development, to address this issue. A special meeting was held this week to review the structure of district state administrations.

According to Svyrydenko, due to the full-scale war, some of the functions of the district state administrations overlap with the powers of military administrations, creating a need to update their organizational model.

“While preparing the budget request for next year, we must provide for the necessary changes to increase these salaries. I will ask the Verkhovna Rada to support this decision,” the head of government noted.

For his part, Oleksiy Kuleba reported that the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development has already conducted an audit of the actual workload of district state administration employees and prepared proposals to optimize their work.

The analysis found that certain functions of the district state administrations overlap, and one of the main problems remains the large number of vacant positions, which is linked to low salaries.

All proposals submitted to the Prime Minister have already been reviewed. We have received relevant comments and have been instructed to finalize them next week and submit a draft decision for consideration,” Kuleba said.

Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko made this statement during her address to the Verkhovna Rada.

Earlier, Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, announced the appointment of new heads of the capital’s district state administrations.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed four heads of Kyiv’s district administrations.
