In Ivano-Frankivsk, a police officer struck and killed a pedestrian
On the night of April 5, a high-profile traffic accident occurred in Ivano-Frankivsk, resulting in the death of a young person.

The person responsible for the accident was an active law enforcement officer who, instead of helping the victim, chose to flee the scene.
The tragedy unfolded around 12:26 a.m. on Halytska Street. According to preliminary data, the driver struck a pedestrian directly at a crosswalk, which is a gross violation of traffic rules.
Instead of calling an ambulance or attempting to save the victim, the perpetrator fled the scene. Due to severe injuries, the man, born in 1994, died at the scene before the arrival of medical personnel, who had been summoned by witnesses.
Operational measures allowed authorities to quickly locate the vehicle and apprehend the suspect.
He has already been taken to the police station for initial investigative procedures, including testing for alcohol or drug intoxication.

Earlier that evening, a traffic accident occurred on the highway between the villages of Petrivske and Znamianka in the Pryluky district of Chernihiv region, in which eight people were injured.
