Bread deliveries have been suspended in occupied Rubizhne

Bread deliveries have been suspended in occupied Rubizhne

Russian invaders have blocked bread deliveries to the temporarily occupied city of Rubizhne in the Luhansk region.

None of the regular suppliers are delivering this staple food there anymore.

At the same time, there is currently no such critical situation in other captured settlements in the region located near the front line.

According to the head of the Regional Military Administration, the refusal to provide food to residents bears the hallmarks of a planned campaign by the occupying authorities. The occupiers are deliberately worsening the already difficult living conditions of the civilian population remaining in the combat zone.

Local residents have effectively found themselves completely cut off from centralized food supplies.

“The Russians are trying to create an artificial famine in Rubizhne. All suppliers have suddenly refused to bring bread to the city. No such situation has been observed in other frontline settlements. In other words, Rubizhne was specifically targeted,” Kharchenko’s statement reads.

An additional factor in the crisis is that, four years after the city’s capture, the occupying administration has still failed to get local bakeries up and running.

The city’s infrastructure remains destroyed and neglected, and the needs of the people are being ignored. Instead of restoring Rubizhne’s own capabilities, the invaders have attempted to establish a monopoly.

This was officially announced by Oleksiy Kharchenko, head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration.
