Heat and brief showers in some areas are expected in Ukraine on July 13
In the coming days, Ukraine will continue to experience warm and, in some places, hot weather, with brief showers and thunderstorms in certain regions. According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, daytime temperatures in most regions will range from +25 to +32 degrees.
The highest temperatures are forecast for the southern and eastern regions, where thermometers may reach +34 degrees. In the western and northern regions, there will be localized thunderstorms, which will bring temporary relief from the heat. A moderate northwesterly wind is expected, with possible gusts during thunderstorms.
In the Kyiv region, variable cloudiness is expected, mostly without significant precipitation, with daytime temperatures around +28 degrees. Experts urge people to follow safety guidelines while spending time in the sun and to monitor warnings about hazardous weather conditions.

As a reminder, Belgium has recorded a sharp rise in mortality amid a severe heat wave. According to the Sciensano Institute of Public Health, the excess mortality rate reached 47%—the highest figure since records began in 2000.
Earlier, average nuclear power generation in France fell below 33 GW, the lowest level in the past nine months, due to the need to limit output at nuclear power plants. The reduction was caused by a critical rise in water temperatures in the rivers used to cool the reactors.
