Heat is forecast for Ukraine on June 27, with rain only in some areas

Friday, June 27, will bring true summer weather to Ukraine. Most regions will be dry and sunny, with temperatures reaching up to +35 degrees in some places. Light, brief showers and thunderstorms are possible only in isolated regions. It will be hottest in Zakarpattia and parts of the southern regions.

After several relatively comfortable days, the weather in Ukraine is once again heading toward true summer heat. As early as Friday, temperatures in some regions will rise to +35 degrees, and there will be very little precipitation. According to forecasters, most of the country will experience a rain-free day. Only in the south, in the eastern regions, and in some parts of Vinnytsia Oblast are brief showers and thunderstorms possible during the day.

However, such precipitation will be localized and will not significantly affect the overall weather pattern. Winds are expected from the north and northwest at speeds of 7–12 meters per second. It is this wind that will somewhat alleviate the heat during the day. At night, air temperatures will range from +13 to +18 degrees. In the southern regions and in Zakarpattia, it will be warmer—up to +21 degrees.

During the day, most regions will see temperatures ranging from +23 to +28 degrees. However, in the west of the country and in many southern regions, temperatures will rise to +32. It will be hottest in Zakarpattia. In some places there, extreme heat of up to +35 degrees is forecast. In Kyiv and the surrounding region, the day will also be dry. Forecasters predict dry and comfortable weather with moderate winds.

In the capital, nighttime temperatures will range from +16 to +18 degrees, and daytime temperatures will reach +25 to +27. In the Kyiv region, nighttime temperatures are expected to range from +13 to +18 degrees, and daytime temperatures from +23 to +28. Forecasters advise people not to forget to stay hydrated, wear hats, and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during the hottest hours of the day. This is especially important for children, the elderly, and those with chronic health conditions. It seems that the last days of June have decided to remind Ukrainians what a real summer is like—sunny, hot, and almost rainless. The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center reported this on Facebook.

Ukraine is already preparing its power grid for the upcoming heating season, which is forecast to be no less challenging than the previous one.
