Ukraine is reviewing employee protection measures: who may lose their status starting September 1
A large-scale review of the status of critically important enterprises is underway in Ukraine. Companies must confirm their compliance with the updated criteria by September 1; otherwise, they may lose the right to exempt their employees from mobilization.
This was reported by attorney Nikita Murenko.
According to him, one of the reasons for the review was the large number of employees reserved at a time when the state needs additional mobilization.
“The short answer to why this was done is that there are too many reserved employees, and the state needs to mobilize people,” Murenko noted.
The lawyer explained that companies can either confirm their current “critically important” status or submit documents to obtain the new status for another year. The choice depends on the validity period of the status already granted.
Among the new requirements are raising the minimum average wage for employees to nearly 26,000 hryvnias, as well as an updated set of documents.
At the same time, the expert emphasized that the process of reserving employees has already been digitized and is carried out through the “Diya” portal, while the procedure for granting “critically important enterprise” status is still largely done manually.
