Starting in July, Ukraine will increase the amount of direct funding for combat battalions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Starting next month, Ukraine will expand its program of direct funding for military units by increasing the amount of funding allocated to each battalion carrying out combat missions on the front lines. In addition, separate funding will be allocated for artillery units operating in the combat zone, as well as for corps-level units.
This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy following a report by Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Pavlo Palisa. According to the head of state, the relevant decision by the General Staff will allow the military to more quickly procure drones and other necessary equipment directly for the needs of the brigades.
In addition to the financial changes, the president noted the effectiveness of the program—in place since last December—for the guaranteed monthly allocation of military personnel to combat brigades, which gives commanders greater predictability in managing and independently training their personnel.
Zelenskyy announced this in a Telegram post.
