The High Anti-Corruption Court has seized the vehicles of the former head of the district election commission in the Odesa region
The High Anti-Corruption Court has officially ruled that the assets of the former head of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi District Tax and Customs Office and Joint Venture in the Odesa region are unjustified.
The panel of judges fully upheld the civil claim filed by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, resulting in the seizure of the property in favor of the state.
The court’s decision applies not only to the former official himself but also to members of his family in whose names the valuable assets were registered.
The court ruled to forfeit two vehicles to the state, as the owners were unable to prove the lawful origin of the funds used to purchase them.
According to the case file, two Toyota crossovers are subject to confiscation: a 2022 C-HR Hybrid and a similar 2021 Toyota C-HR.
These vehicles will now become state property for further use or sale.
The defense still has the opportunity to appeal this court ruling in accordance with the procedure established by law.
The decision may be appealed to the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court within thirty days of its official announcement.
As a reminder, the court remanded three suspects in custody in the case involving the embezzlement of grain worth 776 million hryvnias.
Additionally, a judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court stated that there was a violation of jurisdiction in the Olenych case.
