Ukraine has transferred Ivanyushchenko's data to Interpol for issuing a red card
The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court ordered that Yuriy Ivanyushchenko, a former member of parliament from the Party of Regions, be held in custody as a preventive measure.
The court upheld the appeal filed by the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) and overturned the previous ruling, which had denied the arrest of the former MP.
As noted, the decision paves the way for initiating the extradition proceedings against Ivanyushchenko, who is currently outside Ukraine.
The consideration of the issue of imposing a preventive measure has been ongoing since September 2025. According to the prosecution, the process was delayed due to the defense’s actions.
Earlier, an investigating judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court authorized a special pre-trial investigation into Ivanyushchenko.
A former ally of Viktor Yanukovych is a defendant in a case brought by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) regarding the activities of the “Stolichny” market. The developer Vlada Molchanova is also mentioned in these proceedings.

Earlier, Swiss law enforcement authorities provided Ukrainian investigators with documents regarding bank accounts and transactions linked to former Ukrainian MP Yuriy Ivanyushchenko. These funds have been frozen and are expected to be returned to Ukraine in the future.
