Ukrainian parliament raises teachers' minimum salary above 21,000 hryvnias
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted an amendment initiated by MP Danylo Hetmantsev, which sets teachers' minimum salary at no less than 2.5 times the minimum wage. This means that the minimum pay for teachers will exceed 21,000 hryvnias.
According to statistics, salaries in the education sector are currently the lowest across all economic fields. This amendment aims to improve teachers' financial conditions and enhance the attractiveness of the teaching profession.
It is expected that raising the minimum salary will motivate educators and positively impact the quality of education in Ukraine in the future.
