The Supreme Court upheld the sanctions against Poroshenko
The Administrative Court of Cassation within the Supreme Court denied Petro Poroshenko’s petition to overturn the sanctions imposed against him by a decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. Thus, the restrictions imposed by the NSDC’s decision remain in effect.
A panel of judges announced the decision.
“The administrative lawsuit filed by Petro Oleksiyovych Poroshenko against President of Ukraine Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zelenskyy, with the participation of third parties—the National Security and Defense Council, the Cabinet of Ministers, and the Ministry of Economy—seeking to declare the decree unlawful and to overturn it, is denied,” the judge announced.
This was reported with reference to the live broadcast of the court hearing.
Poroshenko claimed $172 million in damages due to Russian attacks.
In addition, People’s Deputy and leader of “European Solidarity” Petro Poroshenko became the owner of a 2021 Volvo S90 2.0 T8 and a 2001 King Trailers GTS443-17.5 semi-trailer. Previously, these vehicles belonged to his wife, Maryna Poroshenko. However, according to a ruling by the Vinnytsia Court of Appeals on April 20, this property was transferred to Petro Poroshenko.
