From cat food to gadgets: what Ukrainians buy on Black Friday
Ukrainians are increasingly participating in the global marketing phenomenon of Black Friday. According to Rozetka marketplace analysts, consumers are most interested in smart gadgets, such as smartphones and laptops, as well as children's products and mobile accessories. However, among the real purchases in 2024, the demand for cat food, alcoholic beverages, and even certain household items was quite high. The most expensive products were the MSI Titan gaming laptop for UAH 284,475 and a Samsung TV for almost UAH 280 thousand.

Residents of large cities, including Kyiv, Odesa, Lviv, and Dnipro, remain the most active shoppers during the promotions. In these regions, goods such as New Year's gifts, coffee and personal care products are in demand. Despite the growing interest in Ukrainian brands, consumers mostly choose proven international offers during Black Friday.
Experts predict that in 2025, people will see a similar trend with an emphasis on the practicality of goods. It is expected that technology will continue to be in the top of the desired products, but real purchases will be more likely to be for accessories and peripherals. For effective shopping, experts advise to start creating lists of desired products in advance.
