VIDEO: The Japanese impressed Ukrainians with their embroidered shirts during a meeting with Sibiga
Representatives of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) attended a meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga wearing traditional Ukrainian embroidered shirts.
Photos from the talks were published by the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and by Georgiy Tykhyi, an advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs. In the photos, members of the Japanese delegation, including JICA Senior Vice President Yuko Mitsui, are seen wearing white and olive-green embroidered shirts featuring traditional Ukrainian patterns.
During the meeting, the parties discussed continued support for Ukraine, the country’s recovery, and cooperation in energy, logistics, agriculture, and other sectors. Sybiga thanked JICA for its ongoing assistance to Ukraine and specifically noted the gesture of the Japanese delegation, which arrived at the talks wearing embroidered shirts.
