Video: In Lviv, a man sprayed a pepper spray at a military recruitment center serviceman and police officers
In Lviv, a man used a pepper spray against a serviceman of the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support (TCRC) and two police officers. He faces imprisonment for a term of three to five years.
This was reported by the Lviv Regional TCRC.
The incident occurred on February 26 at approximately 8:15 a.m. Members of the military notification group, together with police representatives, stopped two men to check their military registration documents.
According to the TCRC, one of the individuals suddenly took out a pepper spray and sprayed it toward the serviceman and the two law enforcement officers. All three suffered damage to their respiratory tracts and eye mucous membranes and were hospitalized.
It was later determined that both men had violated military registration rules. One of them was taken to the district TCRC, where he underwent a medical commission and was deemed fit for service.
The TCRC stated that the attack occurred in response to a “calm and tolerant appeal” from the serviceman.
The man has been charged under Part 2 of Article 345 and Part 2 of Article 350 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Meanwhile, the TCRC explained the rules regarding the wearing of balaclavas and identification signs during notifications. They also clarified which documents should be carried in case of verification on the street.
