The manufacturer "Luciano" paid wages to a citizen of the "DPR"
The Ukrainian company "Onyx," known for its products under the "Luciano" brand, paid a salary for about 10 years to a former employee who obtained citizenship of the so-called "DPR" and later of the Russian Federation.
This is reported in an investigation by Bihus.Info.
According to journalists, after 2014, the company re-registered its business in territory controlled by Ukraine, but some employees remained in occupied Donetsk. Among them was Marina Tsibenko, who headed the local “Onyx” enterprise, which had already been registered under Russian law.
Despite official statements denying any ties to businesses in the occupied territory, the investigation revealed that from 2014 to 2024, the company continued to pay her a salary. She was listed in documents as the chief accountant, even after the start of the full-scale war.
Additionally, at the end of 2022, the owners issued powers of attorney for the management of corporate rights to three employees in Donetsk who had obtained Russian citizenship. Following this, the company was re-registered under Russian law.
According to journalists, the business in the occupied territory continues to operate and generate profits, paying taxes to the Russian budget.
The SBU announced charges in absentia against several individuals involved in the case for aiding the aggressor state; they have been placed on the wanted list.
