A woman from Volyn collected 155 porcini mushrooms in a single trip
Mushroom season in Volyn is in full swing, and local mushroom hunters are already showing off their finds. One woman from the region managed to gather 155 white mushrooms in a single trip.
Nina Ostapchuk headed into the forest near Manevychi on September 10. This time, her trip turned out to be particularly fruitful—she returned home with baskets full of porcini mushrooms.
The harvest included both large specimens and very young mushrooms. The Volyn resident shared photos of her haul, impressing social media users with the quantity she had gathered.
This year’s mushroom season in Volyn is already gaining momentum, and local mushroom hunters continue to head into the woods in search of white mushrooms and other forest treasures.

In the forests near Manevychi in Volyn, a true mushroom giant was found during a “quiet hunt.” The white mushroom weighed 1 kilogram and 820 grams. It’s not every day that you come across such a large white mushroom in the forest.
