Three more children have been returned from the occupied Kherson region to government-controlled territory
Two girls and one boy, aged four to sixteen, have been successfully returned to Ukrainian-controlled territory from the temporarily occupied left bank of the Kherson region. The children were evacuated by a team from the charitable organization Save Ukraine.
The rescue was made possible thanks to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s Bring Kids Back UA initiative and the joint efforts of partners.
The children are currently safe and undergoing reintegration at “Hope and Recovery” centers, where they receive psychological support, safe shelter, care, and assistance with restoring their documents. In total, 84 children have been returned from the temporarily occupied communities of the Kherson region since the beginning of the year.
This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, on Telegram.
Ukraine has already managed to return 2,126 children abducted by Russia as part of the Bring Kids Back UA initiative.
