Since the beginning of the year, 150 abducted children have been returned to Ukraine — Zelenskyy

Since the beginning of 2026, Ukraine has managed to bring back 150 children who were abducted by Russia.

This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

According to him, a total of more than 2,100 Ukrainian children have already been returned to government-controlled territory as part of the Bring Kids Back UA initiative.

The president noted that the deportation and forced displacement of Ukrainian children were recently recognized for the first time at the UN level as a crime against humanity.

He also emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to return all illegally abducted children.

As a reminder, an eight-year-old boy was killed and twelve others were injured in the Russian strike on Cherkasy on the evening of April 14.

A 12-year-old boy and a 35-year-old woman were killed in the attack on Kyiv on April 16.
