Yermak's defense team has already filed a brief appeal regarding the pretrial detention order

Andriy Yermak's lawyers have already filed an appeal regarding the preventive measure imposed.

His lawyer, Igor Fomin, announced this onRadio Liberty.

According to Fomin, an abbreviated version of the appeal has been filed for now, as the defense has not yet received the full text of the court’s reasoned decision. Because of this, the lawyers have not yet been able to substantiate their claims in detail.

“I expect to receive the court’s decision and ruling in writing. Then I will review its arguments and prepare… an addendum to the appeal,” the lawyer explained regarding the nature of the abbreviated appeal.

When asked what kind of preventive measure Fomin envisions for Andriy Yermak, he replied that there should be none at all.

The lawyer dismissed the prosecution’s argument that Yermak, who holds four foreign passports, might flee as mere speculation: “He might flee, or he might not.”

An additional nearly 10 millionhryvnias in bail was posted for Yermak.
