Gennadiy Kolesnik, deputy head of the Oleksandriya District Territorial Center for Civil Registration and Marriage in Kirovohrad Oblast, drives a 2012 Jaguar XF registered in the name of his 21-year-old daughter; however, the vehicle is not listed in the official’s financial disclosure statement.
According to a journalistic investigation, the market value of such a car is approximately 500,000 hryvnias. Kolesnik himself refused to explain the origin of the car, while his wife offered several different versions: at first she called the car a gift, then claimed that their daughter had purchased it with her own funds, and later said that the car had been bought by the whole family.
Journalists also took note of a 2014 Audi Q5, which the official’s wife purchased last year for 50,000 hryvnias—significantly less than its market value.
In addition, the article mentions a Kia vehicle which, according to journalists, was donated by volunteers and is also not listed in the declaration.
During the preparation of the investigation, it became known that Hennadiy Kolesnik is stepping down from his position as deputy head of the Oleksandriya Territorial Center for Combating Corruption.
