Zelenskyy: All that remains is to obtain Trump's approval to manufacture Patriot missiles in Ukraine
Ukraine is ready to begin production of missiles for the Patriot air defense systems, but this requires final approval from U.S. President Donald Trump.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made this statement during a telethon.
According to him, all key participants in the process have already supported the project, and the U.S. administration recognizes the need to expand missile production for the Patriot system.
“We’ve reached the point where all we need now is Trump’s personal OK. Everyone else is on board,” Zelenskyy said.
The president also noted that Ukraine has already signed a contract with Germany to supply 600 missiles for the Patriot system, but fulfilling such orders takes time.
At the same time, according to the head of state, Ukraine has the necessary technical capabilities to localize the production of missiles for these air defense systems.
