Zelenskyy wants to discuss some ideas with his partners that have not yet been made public

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced important diplomatic talks for next week, during which he plans to discuss new, confidential ideas with European partners aimed at achieving long-term peace.

The main topics of the upcoming meetings in Europe will also include strengthening Ukraine’s air defense (AD) and adopting new political agreements to bolster the country’s defense.

In addition, the country’s leader announced the launch of an important integration cluster for Ukraine and Moldova.

The head of state announced this during his traditional evening address to the nation.

According to the President, in the coming days, European leaders will gather for a meeting of the Group of Seven (G7), where the defense of Ukraine and the search for ways to stabilize the situation on the continent will take center stage on the agenda.

Ukrainian diplomacy is counting on achieving concrete and practical results that will help significantly strengthen our country’s position.

“This week will be important; we are counting on results. First and foremost, of course, air defense for Ukraine, political agreements that will strengthen our defense here in Ukraine, the opening of a cluster—a cluster for Ukraine and Moldova—and steps toward long-term peace: we will discuss some ideas with our partners that are not yet public,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated.

In his speech, the President paid special attention to the issue of economic pressure on the aggressor country by limiting its export potential.

The Head of State officially thanked the British government for the successful operation to detain yet another Russian oil tanker.

Official Kyiv insists on increasing sanctions pressure from Western allies and blocking the illegal logistics routes the Kremlin uses to circumvent the embargo.

As a reminder, during his speech at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Putin confirmed the visit of an unnamed business representative and the proposal to meet with Zelenskyy, but stated that he sees no point in such a personal meeting, as he continues to believe that Russia’s advantage in resources will allow it to achieve its goals.

Zelenskyy published an open letter to Putin — full text.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Moscow is allegedly ready for negotiations to end the war against Ukraine, but sees no readiness for dialogue on the Ukrainian side.
