Zelenskyy Discussed Aid to Ukraine with Tusk During the Carpathian Summit
During the Carpathian Summit, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a bilateral meeting with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk. The two leaders discussed a new aid package for Ukraine and further cooperation within the framework of the Carpathian Initiative.
“Ukraine and Poland are strong neighbors, friends, and partners, and we share a common enemy,” Zelenskyy noted.
According to him, during the meeting, the parties focused primarily on the need to maintain unity and work together to end the war.
“Today, we primarily discussed how important it is to maintain our unity and work together to stop this war. I am grateful to Poland for the new aid package. This is an important step in supporting us, and we appreciate it,” the statement said.
As a reminder, during the Carpathian Summit, Zelenskyy stated that it is important for the two countries to remain open to complex issues, but at the same time to focus more on what unites them.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk criticized President Karol Nawrocki for his remark about a possible loss of territory in a post dedicated to the events at the start of World War II.
