Zelenskyy extended Easter greetings to Western Christians
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed Ukrainians and the international community on the occasion of Easter, which some believers celebrate on April 5, 2026.
The head of state emphasized the importance of faith in the victory of light over darkness amid constant threats.
In his message, published on the official Telegram channel, the president noted that in these difficult times, hope for the triumph of life over death is stronger than ever.
He called for unity and spiritual resilience in the face of aggression.
“May the strength of every one of our people, their spirit, and all that is best in humanity—may all of this surely overcome evil and darkness, ‘shahids’ and missiles, injustice and occupation,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
The head of state made a special mention of the Ukrainian defenders who make it possible to celebrate under the open sky. He wished the soldiers and all citizens God’s grace and true security for every nation.
The President also highlighted the power of communal prayer, which unites good hearts in the fight against evil.
“May all prayers for protection from evil be heard today. May faith unite good hearts and strengthen those who defend their homes. May every nation come closer to true security. We believe in peace! We believe in Ukraine!” he noted in his address.
As a reminder, Zelenskyy revoked the presidential stipend of the Ukrainian national team’s coach, who fled to Belarus.
Zelenskyy arrived in Turkey for talks.
