Zelenskyy held a meeting on energy and winter preparations

Ukraine is already preparing for the coming winter and restoring its energy infrastructure, which was damaged by Russian attacks.

This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

According to him, resilience plans have been approved for every region across the country, and tasks have been set for developing alternative power generation and restoring facilities.

The installation of cogeneration plants is currently underway, and a total of 245 facilities are already in operation.

Zelenskyy noted that work is proceeding despite a lack of funding, as the €90 billion European aid package remains blocked.

In particular, about €5 billion of that amount was intended for winter preparations and the rapid restoration of the power grid.

The President emphasized that protecting the energy sector and critical infrastructure remains one of the key priorities.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russia’s massive attack on April 1 was a response to Ukraine’s initiative for a ceasefire on Easter.

On Wednesday, April 1, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held strategically important talks with key representatives of the U.S. administration—Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
