A square named after Andriy Parubiy will open in Lviv
The grand opening of Hero of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy Square will take place in Lviv on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. The new public space is located in the city center and stretches from Lychakivska Street to Prosvity Street.
This was reported by the press service of the Lviv City Council.

The official opening ceremony will take place at the corner near the Lviv Regional Military Administration (LRMA) building, and local authorities have timed the event to coincide with Heroes’ Day. The decision to name this location was approved by council members at the last session of the Lviv City Council.
Andriy Parubiy tragically died on August 30, 2025—the well-known Ukrainian politician and member of parliament was shot on Yefremova Street in Lviv. Currently, two memorial plaques have already been installed in the city to honor his memory: the first is located on the facade of building No. 48, directly next to the site of the murder, and the second is on the building of the gymnasium where the statesman once studied.
As a reminder, the SBU has referred the case of Andriy Parubiy’s murder to court.
